El primer paso: Pasaporte de lenguas

Como viajeros del español que somos, necesitamos nuestro pasaporte de lenguas. Con este documento podremos saber cuánto conocimiento tenemos de una lengua y cómo podemos mejorar esa lengua a la par que mejoramos nuestro conocimiento cultural y lingüístico de las lenguas que conocemos.

Una vez que hayamos terminado el cuestionario, podemos postear la información en nuestro blog y crear así la primera entrada.

Por último, no hay que olvidar que el pasaporte de lenguas no es más que el principio de nuestra aventura. Así que tendremos que plantear cuál será nuestra próxima meta para alcanzar un nivel más alto al que ya tenemos. Nuestra siguiente meta será la segunda entrada del blog.

European Portfolio of Languages

We are working with this new tool for grades four and five. With this European Portfolio of Languages, the student knows what exactly is learning and how it can use it. The Spanish teacher is just a facilitator for what the student wants to learn.
Those students of grade three that want to enter in contact with this tool, they can start downloading this file here.
Some examples of how we can use this European Portfolio of Languages at class and some other information is available at this website.

Dictionaries in Images

Some dictionaries with images that you can find on internet are:

- Logos Dictionary. It offers a children version with images and its equivalents in English and other languages. It also includes pronunciation for English and Spanish words.

- PDictionary. It also has images with the words but it does not have their pronunciation. Its innovation is that you can browse by letter and by semantic category like:

Animals Appliances Body Parts Clothing and Apparel Colors

Fruits Garden and Yard Kitchen Musical Instruments Numbers

School Sports Tools Transportation Vegetables

And you can also test yourself through different activities online, after learning one of these semantic categories.

- Leoloqueveo.org. A good selection of basic vocabulary for children in primary done by Mercedes Senac and Esther Pazos. It presents the word with the article and its image. It is also organized by categories:

• Basic Concepts- Conceptos Básicos.
• Human Body- El cuerpo humano.
• Food- Los alimentos.
• Clothing-La ropa.
• The School- El colegio.
• Home-La casa.
• The Village-El pueblo.
• The City-La ciudad.

Para no perdernos en Salamanca

En la clase de hoy vamos a aprender a preguntar por direcciones y a movernos a través del plano de Salamanca. Además, como no podía ser de otra manera, aprenderemos a dar direcciones. Estoy segura de que en pocos días pareceréis salmantinos.

Al final de la clase, nos espera una búsqueda del tesoro (a treasure hunt).
¿Quién será el equipo ganador? ¿Cuál será la sorpresa que se esconde al final? Muchas preguntas, todavía sin respuesta.
